Roof Maxx Restoration

Roof restoration is newer to many homeowners—these are the questions we hear most.
What is Roof Maxx Restoration?

Roof Maxx is a plant-based saturant designed for qualifying asphalt shingle roofs to help restore flexibility, reduce granule loss, and extend roof life. It’s a performance-focused restoration—not a cosmetic coating or sealant.

How does Roof Maxx work?

The treatment is applied to the roof surface and is designed to absorb into the shingles to help rejuvenate the asphalt core by replacing its depleted petrochemical oils. Roof Maxx delivers proven results, backed by third party testing and over 21,000 5-star Google reviews across the nation.

Does insurance accept Roof Maxx?

How insurance carriers treat roof restoration is still evolving and there is no industry recognized standard at this time. However, for qualifying roofs, Roof Maxx restoration can help bring shingles back into condition necessary for independent third-party roof certification under Florida insurance guidelines, helping homeowners maintain insurance eligibility without premature replacement.

Will Roof Maxx stop a leak?

Roof Maxx is not a leak “sealant.” If you have a leak, we first identify the cause and recommend repairs/tune-ups as needed—then we’ll confirm whether restoration is still a good option.

How much life can Roof Maxx add to a roof?

Qualifying roofs may gain up to 5 years of additional years of service life per treatment. Results depend on roof age, condition, ventilation, sun exposure, and existing wear—so we set expectations during the assessment.

Do I need to clean my roof before Roof Maxx?

While cleaning is rarely required before treatment – when algae/organic staining is visible, cleaning is often recommended first for best results and appearance. We’ll advise the right order during your inspection.

Will Roof Maxx remove black streaks or algae stains?

No—Roof Maxx does not remove existing staining. That’s handled with roof cleaning/soft washing and (if desired) an algae inhibitor plan to help stop regrowth.

Is Roof Maxx safe for my landscaping, pets, and property?

It’s a plant-based product, and we still take standard precautions to protect landscaping and surrounding areas during service.

How long does a Roof Maxx application take?

Time varies by roof size, pitch, and complexity – as well as the exact services being provided. Most jobs are completed in just a few hours. We’ll provide a realistic time window when we schedule your service.

Does weather matter for a Roof Maxx treatment?

Yes—rain, wind, and surface conditions can affect scheduling. We plan around Florida weather to perform the application under appropriate conditions.

What’s the difference between Restore and Restore Maxx?

Both aim to extend the life of a qualifying roof. Restore Maxx includes additional premium components and is positioned as the higher-value option. We’ll recommend the best fit after your assessment.

What if my roof doesn’t qualify for restoration?

If restoration isn’t the right fit, we’ll recommend the next best option—maintenance/tune-up, repair, or replacement—based on what we find.

Roof Cleaning

Do you use high pressure on roofs?

No—our Soft-Clean roof cleaning is performed using roof-safe methods (soft wash/low pressure). High pressure can damage shingles and granules. Even on metal and tile roofs, soft washing is our preferred cleaning method with some limited exceptions.

What is soft wash roof cleaning?

Soft washing uses low pressure with appropriate cleaning solutions and rinsing to remove organic buildup and grime. We choose the method based on roof condition and materials.

Will roof cleaning damage my shingles or granules?

Our process is designed to avoid high-pressure washing and protect the roof surface. Every roof is different, so we confirm the safest approach during the inspection.

How long do results last?

It depends on shade, tree coverage, humidity, and roof conditions. Some roofs can begin to see light algae in less than 1 year after cleaning. while others may go 3-4 years or more before algae starts to become visible again. We can recommend maintenance or inhibitor options to help results last longer.

Can roof cleaning be combined with Roof Maxx Restoration?

Yes—many homeowners clean first (if needed) and then restore if the roof qualifies. We’ll recommend the best solution for your roof.

Maintenance & Protection

Does a roof really need maintenance?

Yes—most roof problems start small. Routine checkups help catch issues early, before water causes bigger damage.

What’s included in a maintenance visit?

Typically: inspection, minor corrections/tune-ups, debris removal, gutter flow checks, and runoff/drainage checks. Plan details vary—your assessment confirms the best fit.

How often should my roof be inspected?

A good rule of thumb is at least annually and after major storms. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your roof’s condition and exposure.

What happens if you find an issue?

We correct most minor and common issues as part of your maintenance plan. For some issues, such as leaks, storm damage, or defective roofing materials – we document what we see and recommend the best next step. That may include filing an insurance claim, warranty claim, repair, or replacment.
